A lot of people who have been in the military possess an endless array of different skills and experience. While all of these skills may look impressive when you are in the military world and they are used to establish rank, once you are in the civilian world it may not feel the same way anymore. You're going to see requirements for various jobs that you feel you will have a very difficult time qualifying for. Not because you don't possess the skills, but because you don't know how to properly convey the skills you do possess. Well in this article I'm going to give you a list of the skills I am sure you have that you will be able to put on your military to civilian resume.

The first skill that being in the military gives you that will make you more desirable to employers would be the fact that you have discipline. Discipline is priceless and highly desirable in many careers. What this means is you will have the control to do what is right. Not only that, but you will be able to do what needs to be done even when there is no one putting pressure on you to do it. Now when you were in the military to civilian transition there was probably pressure, in the civilian world that pressure will be alleviated. By displaying discipline even when there is not eyes on you it inspires great trust in bosses because they will not have to constantly oversee you.
