Being a Travel Nurse can be pretty fun and, unsurprisingly, there are lots of job seekers interested in that nursing field. If you ever wondered how to become a travel nurse, here is the lowdown:
To become a travel nurse, you will need to get a Registered Nurse degree from a nursing school. You can get it through a 2-years ADN program, a 3-year diploma or a 4-year BSN degree.
You must also have 1 year of experience as a licensed nurse, preferably in a clinic in the field that you will specialize in, as a travel nurse. 2 or 3 years are recommended though, which will mostly depend on your specialization.
As for getting a travel job, you will need to check with travel nurse companies that work with hospitals. Not only will these companies help you get a job but they will assist you with relocation, benefits, etc ... Also don't forget to customize your travel nurse resume to the specialty you are interested in, which will increase the chances at getting the job you really want.
