Control the day to day operations of the Human Resources Department (HR, Safety, Training and Environmental) for a ductile iron foundry, Tier 2 OEM supplier to the automotive industry. Union facility with 400 associates and $53 million annual revenue.
* Part of the executive team assigned to develop and install HRIS system for the corporation.
* Successfully negotiated two union contracts (1999 and 2002) with minimum increases.
* One arbitration hearing lost in five years out of 21.
* Improved policy, process and procedures of the workers compensation structure and provided a direct hands-on approach to managing/tracking injuries, claims administration and medical treatment. Implemented Safety Program that resulted in 1998 and 1999 Safety Champions for Citation and resulted in 2,300,000 Man-hours without a Lost Time Injury.
