    Job Description: Assistant Executive Director Florida Inland Navigation District
    The Florida Inland Navigation District, an independent special taxing district providing for the management, maintenance and improvement of the Atlantic Intracoastal and a portion of the Okeechobee Waterways in Florida, is seeking a qualified professional for an upper level management position in a small office setting located in Jupiter, Florida.? Qualified applicants must have a college degree in marine, engineering, environmental studies or other related fields, a minimum of 3 years experience in management, personal computer operations proficiency including but not limited to Microsoft programs, excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to travel and work some weekends and nights, a valid driver's license, and must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.? Preferred qualifications include an advanced or engineering degree, marine infrastructure design or construction experience, marine permitting experience with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and the U.?S.? Army Corps of Engineers, grant writing and administrative experience, an interest in marine activities, and the ability to operate a boat.? The salary is negotiable but will not exceed $92,500.?00.? Health, retirement, and leave benefits are provided.? Moving expenses will not be provided.? Start date for this job is October 1, 2012.?
