COMMUNITY SUPPORTED FISHERY DIRECTOR
DESCRIPTION: Sitka Salmon Shares, a fully integrated boat-to-doorstep seafood company headquartered in Sitka, AK is excited to invite applications for our Community Supported Fishery Director position. This position will be primarily responsible for providing service and support of all aspects of a growing Community Supported Fishery, our direct-to-consumer wild Alaskan Seafood delivery service out of our Galesburg, Illinois.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directing and managing the day to day operations of our subscription-based Community Supported Fishery. Accomplish member service human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling and coaching employees Manage Member Service Associates and co-manage Distribution Specialists Communicating member service expectations Creation and maintenance of member service procedures, policies and templates Supporting and enforcing company policies and procedures Maintain member satisfaction by providing problem-solving resources to all employees who provide customer service to our members Helping on the front line with Member Service support that includes all aspects of customer service via email, phone and in-person Oversee data entry to make sure it is completed in a timely manner Assisting with delivery logistics as seen fit including support to drivers after office hours as needed Other tasks as needed
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Help staff events on an as needed
DESIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: Passion for local food and sustainability College degree At least 5 years experience in customer-facing management. With 7+ years preferred. Flexibility and willingness to work on-demand, with tight deadlines. A high level of integrity, accuracy, and dependability. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Positive attitude and ability to work independently with minimal guidance. Willingness to learn all aspects of small business to help Sitka Salmon Shares grow and prosper Knowledge of Microsoft office programs such as Excel and Word A background in human resources, a plus
JOB SCOPE AND COMPENSATION: Full-time position with overtime needed in peak fishing season (May-October) Starting pay is $45-60K salary DOE Yearly reviews will be done to assess position and pay. There is a 3 month probationary period.
