OPERATOR IN TRAINING - SEWER City of Burlington is seeking a hardworking, highly motivated individual to fill this position. $4098 - $4524 monthly; 40 hours/week, FLSA non-exempt, represented position. High School diploma and 2 years postsecondary or technical training in related field; 1 yr. experience in repair maintenance of pumps, mechanical equipment, or construction trade. Application & information available at 833 S Spruce St., Burlington, WA 98233 (360)755-2390 or website: www.burlingtonwa. gov The Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator in Training will learn in 12 months a variety of duties essential to the operation of a Major (>1.0 mgd) Wastewater Treatment Facility; inspect, operate, monitor and maintain a variety of equipment and systems involved in various processes of the wastewater treatment plant facility; collection system and pump stations; monitor plant operation through visual observations and computer screens; regulate flows; perform chemical analyses and tests; and perform a variety of related duties to ensure the facility*s final effluent is of the best quality in order to protect the community and all downstream receiving waters and all users while utilizing plant resources wisely and efficiently.
