MID-LEVEL ENERGY ENGEINEER
Perform energy modeling/analysis for bldg systems. Duties: analyze project plans/specs and visit sites; eval bldg info to determine energy efficient design; prep energy study for utility incentives, system comps, LCCA’s, LEED certs; coord w/ sales on new business energy-related strategies.
Requirements: BS in Mechanical Engineering or Arch Engineering; 2 years experiece involving bldg modeling, devel of models to meet LEED certification, code compliance and LCCA comparisons, HVAC System types, control strategies, and industry standard software/apps (AutoCAD, SketchUp, TRACE 700, HAP, Equest, and Open Studio); 2 yrs exp inv heating/cooling load calculations, layout and design of HVAC systems, energy modeling, analysis for commercial/ residential bldgs, and Building Code research incl ASHRAE Standard 90.1, 55, and 62.1.
