Details: JOB TITLE: Production Planning Scheduler. LOCATION: Southside San Antonio, TX. SUMMARY: Overall responsibility of this position includes the monitoring of customer requirements, review of inventory levels, and replenishment planning. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Review daily shipments to the customer, run daily reports, maintain and post daily inventory graphs and charts. Review inventory levels and customer orders. Create production schedules to replenish inventory levels. Create job orders including special processing request (SPR’s) with all supporting documentation to meet production schedules. Issue schedules and job orders with all supporting documentation to the production lines. Monitor the progress of production schedules and collaborate with MST operations to ensure optimal production line efficiency and effectiveness. Review reported production for accuracy and completeness and correct discrepant data as necessary. Provide validated production, shipping, and receiving reports for accounting. Coordinate with sales regarding raw material availability, material shortages and inventory levels. Monitor, balance, and reconcile daily receiving activities. Create customer shipments, monitor, balance and reconcile daily shipping activities. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Applications will continue to be accepted and considered every week until the search is closed Job Description: The Office of Media Relations & Strategic Communications is currently seeking a Project Coordinator to plan, coordinate, implement and finalize projects according to the specifications and deadlines of the department, as well as keeping the projects within budget. For each project, this person will need to clearly define the project’s objectives, create schedules and timelines; oversee the quality control throughout the entire project; identify, assess and minimize project risks until successful project completion. This person achieves results through teamwork and collaboration, developing policies and procedures to optimize workflow; gathers information from various external and internal sources to inform the Office of Media Relations & Strategic Communications teams; executes research projects, as assigned. Essential Duties: Work closely with Vice President of Media Relations & Strategic Communications to define priorities. Meet with team members to thoroughly understand project scope, milestones and deliverables. Ensure thorough and accurate accounting of project elements in project management software. Oversee development of timelines, identify vendor(s) as appropriate, secure quotes based on project specifications and vendor qualifications; seek approvals. Ensure conference/meeting reports are issued and all members of team are informed of discussions/details relative to areas of responsibility for each project. Monitor project milestones and schedules and takes initiative to identify possible project challenges. Correspond with and update Vice President on regular basis. Recommend most efficient workflow processes and tools, explore innovations and improvements. Regularly collaborate with members of Media Relations & Strategic Communications to achieve deliverables. Prepare presentations using PowerPoint and/or other presentation programs. Responsible for regular research projects and analysis of issues and media coverage. Days and Schedule: Monday – Friday 8am-5pm, to include some evenings and weekends. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree. 2 years related experience; 1 of which is in project management, OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved. Desired Qualifications: Experience in working collaboratively in a team-based environment as well as working independently. Experience in maintaining a high degree of confidentiality and responsibility regarding information. Evidence of effective verbal and written communication skills. Experience in problem solving and taking initiative while remaining flexible and open to collaboration and input. Experienced in being a team-oriented strategist able to effectively manage complex situations involving numerous and sometimes competing constituencies. Experience in representing an institution at the highest-possible professional level. Experience in work that requires attention to detail and thoroughness. Experience in work that requires a high level of organization while handling multiple projects. Experience in navigating complex environments with evolving priorities and communication plans. Demonstrated knowledge of print and online communication vehicles and production processes. Experience in using the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) at an advanced level. Working Environment : Activities are primarily performed in a regular, climate controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, standing, walking. Visual acuity and manual dexterity associated with daily use of desktop computer; bending, stooping, reaching and lifting up to 20 pounds.
