IT Support Technician
Details: The Service Desk technician provides courteous, sympathetic and empathetic customer service to internal employees, handling reported problems, provide status on existing problems, and provide functional assistance utilizing multiple tools and platforms. The Service Desk technician will also assist with special projects, research solutions to problems, update and review data in the knowledge base, and provide best effort assistance when a specific solution to a problem is not available. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide courteous, empathetic, and knowledgeable support for internal employees, including: responding to questions in a timely manner; quickly and accurately troubleshooting problems, installing software, and configuring systems; and competent problem research and diagnosis delivered as promised. Prepare and or update trouble tickets or service requests for all client calls, emails, and voicemails, documenting all activities completely and accurately in the ticket. Escalate support issues to supervisory personnel in a timely manner. Quickly and accurately determine whether a problem can be resolved by the Service Desk teams, and if not, escalate to 2nd or 3rd tier support team Prepare and or maintain appropriate support documentation for the benefit of the team. Meet or exceed all goals as defined for the team, including Average Speed of Answer, ASA, Average Call Length ACL, Problem Resolution Rate, and Attendance among others. Actively work to minimize call handling times by utilizing available tools effectively, asking clarifying and guiding questions of the client, and updating and documenting issues in the trouble ticket during the call. Maintain skills in technologies utilized actively throughout the organization, utilizing all available online tutorials, web sites, and knowledge bases. Maintain a basic understanding of the client IT production infrastructure. Maintain the industry knowledge and technical skills required to provide support. Requirements Prior experience in a Help Desk or other customer focused technical support environment. Excellent phone etiquette and written and oral communication skills. Customer service driven, detail oriented team player. Trouble shooting and analytical skills with strong first call resolution ability Working knowledge of networks, particularly Ethernet topology and TCP IP protocols Comfortable working with mainframe sessions Ability to walk the client through Windows operating system configuration and installation problems such as installing printers and other peripheral drivers and remote access networking. Ability to support the following applications and operating systems: Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 2007, Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, Microsoft Exchange, Internet Explorer v 6.0 or above, and McAfee anti virus. ROLE: In-take Coordinator The In-take Coordinator is responsible for processing all incoming e-faxes and forms and setting up patient's profiles within Access Solutions.
