Director of Financial Reporting
Details: Job Scope This position will be an integral member of the finance department, managing the activities of the financial reporting process and related activities of the finance department. This position will require significant interaction with the CAO, CFO and other members of the accounting department, and external auditors. This role will lead the external financial reporting function to ensure quarterly and external financial reporting is prepared in accordance with GAAP. Activities will include working with the Corporate Accounting teams to produce timely and accurate financial statements. The following experience is strongly preferred: * Exceptional skills in financial reporting, consolidation reporting, and controllership activities * SEC Reporting experience and strong knowledge of GAAP * Sarbanes Oxley Experience * Big 4 audit experience * CPA This position reports directly to the Chief Accounting Officer Major Responsibilities External and Internal Financial reporting o Generation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for internal and external use in accordance with GAAP Prepare and review external financial reports required by Senior Leadership Prepare monthly financial statements and various quarterly and annual analyses used to support external reporting. Prepare consolidated financial statements Assist with the year-end audit with the external audit firm and prepare audit working papers Assist with the identification and implementation of new financial reporting requirements. Education and Ideal Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline required. CPA. 15+ years' of financial reporting experience, with at least 4 years of SEC Reporting experience within the Financial Services Industry Big Four experience strongly preferred Excellent organizational skills Ability to proactively identify problems and respond quickly Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and work in a fast -pace environment Highly effective communicator (up, across, down) both written and orally Practical, results-oriented team builder with superior analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills Highly regarded for integrity, ethics, flexibility, teamwork, professional excellence and interpersonal skills.
