Details: Custom-Crete, a US Concrete Company Job Description Job Title: Volumetric Quality Control Technician (VGTECH) Department: 35 FSLA Status: Non-Exempt Prepared Date: May 28, 2015 Job Summary Responsible for the overall quality of products, to include control testing of materials and finished products. Reports to Technical Services Manager for assigned location. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Performs sampling and testing in accordance with American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) specifications to ensure products meet mix specifications established for the company. * Obtains samples of fresh concrete as needed to maintain ACI requirements for historical data references. * Maintains and organizes field equipment, such as slump cone, pressure meter, field scale, and thermometer, in a clean and working order. * Performs truck and admixture dispense calibration testing. Verifies and conducts yield checks on equipment to ensure meter counts are accurately measured. * Maintains material verification check from assigned plant locations and material suppliers. * Verifies cement blend at each plant location is in accordance to mix design and plant protocols. * Communicates with appropriate operation and management staff concerning testing frequency, results, or anomalies identified. * Stays current with local municipalities and State DOT concrete mix requirements to ensure compliance in local market. * Assists drivers as needed on projects and provides guidance for resolution. Serves as support in field while working at job sites. * Demonstrates understanding for customer needs; provides superior service for internal/external customers. Responsible to identify and resolve any customer complaints and/or forward to the appropriate department. * Aides the operations team with jobsite observations, readiness planning, and scheduling of large or specialty projects. * Identifies, schedules and serves as liaison for testing laboratories for any project specification. * If driving, maintains delivery, truck, and driving records by obtaining receipt acknowledgments; recording tracking information; completing driver log and truck performance forms and/or acceptable electronic version. * Expands job knowledge by participating in training opportunities, to include industry news and developments. * Other duties and responsibilities to include remote projects related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis, as need to support the successful business operation. Regulatory Affairs Manager YOUR TASKS YOUR STRENGTHS The Regulatory Affairs Manager supports Regulatory Strategies and Systems to assure that applicable Local, National and International requirements are met to assure global approvals. Principal Accountabilities: Determine global regulatory strategies for market introduction of new and modified device (technology) platforms. Ensure proper communication of regulatory strategies to responsible functions, including Product Development, Sales and Marketing, Service, Manufacturing and Executive Management (as necessary). Prepare US and non-US product submissions (510(k), Technical Files, Canadian Licenses and International registrations). Participate and support new product development teams, as well as review, analyze and comment on technical protocols and reports. Provide input and comment to regulations and standards which may affect company’s products and services. Provide training on regulatory requirements and issues to company personnel to assure compliance. Ensure proper facility registrations and device listings are maintained with the appropriate regulatory agencies. Develop/provide regulatory reports and inputs into management review as required. Maintain knowledge and application skills of regulations and standards applicable to Draeger. Job Requirements: BA/BS degree in business, engineering, medical or scientific discipline. Minimum 5 – 8 years of regulatory experience in the medical device industry commensurate with accountabilities described above. Experience in preparing and submitting Class II Marketing Applications tin the US and Class III in Canada. Extensive knowledge and understanding of US, European and International Medical Device Regulations, Standards and Guidance Documents. Minimum of 5years experience working with regulatory agencies (e.g. FDA, HC) and Competent Authorities and Notified Bodies. Knowledge and good understanding of QSR and ISO Quality Management System Documentation. Regulatory Affairs Certification (RAC) a plus. Proven record of managing people/working on project teams while working on multiple projects. Ability to work with minimal supervision, recognize departmental and organizational needs and initiate actions/recommendations for resolution. Excellent Computer skills and written/oral communication. Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure. Knowledge of current ISO 13485, CMDR SOR/98-282, MDD 93/42/EEC, JGMP’s and 21 CFR Part 820.
