Senior Credit Analyst, Team Leader
Details: Job Description This role is located in our New York, NY Office Responsible for credit analysis and managing a team of credit analysts within Corporate & Institutional Clients (CIC). Key Roles & Responsibilities Credit Analysis Primarily responsible for assessing, managing and monitoring the credit risk associated with the assigned accounts. Closely work with the Global Account Manager (GAM) & credit from pre-screening, credit analysis, as well as continuously monitor the client's financial performance and associated risks. He/she would be able to provide an independent assessment from a credit / policy perspective. Every Credit Analyst (CA) will be assigned to specific account(s) instead of being aligned to a specific GAM portfolio Interact with GAM/client coverage manager/generalist (CCM-G) to gather deal requirements, financial statements and other inputs for performing quality analysis and due diligence. Responsible for the credit risk aspects of the Group Mandate/US BCA (new/renewal/amendment/review date extensions) process such as preparing Scorecard, in-depth industry, business & financial risk analysis and related mitigants Preparing the credit aspects of the Account Plan Obtaining date if required for any group mandate. Ensure compliance of all internal and regulatory credit/other portfolio related policies e.g. preparing the Country portfolio standard checklist, Temasek check, other special reporting requirements, etc. Monitor Risk Triggers, Covenants and other credit conditions and ad hoc credit reports appropriately - preparing reports, escalation, and take actions to GAM/Risk, as per policy/procedure. Ensure receipt of Quarterly/Annual/Interim Financials for private clients (non-publicly traded) from GAM Ensure Zero BCA over dues i.e. file an extension if required. Liaise with Credit on BCA and other credit issues and ensure quick turnaround on queries. Alerting / Escalating the issue to the GAM/CCM-G & other stakeholders in case any of the Credit Approval conditions in the Group Mandate/US BCA have not been complied with within stipulated timelines Conducting Factory Inspection & preparing Inspection Reports (CTA specific) Preparing the call report on credit/risk related discussions if the CA attended the meeting. In partnership with the GAM, ensure timely identification of accounts to be put in relevant system as per the bank's policies and guidelines Preparing the adverse news report note based on their own research and inputs from GAM and circulation to relevant stakeholders as per policy/procedure. Attend relevant portfolio meetings calls along with the GAMs Coordinating internal/external audits Prepare timely Stress Tests (wherever required or requested by GAM/Risk/Management). Prepare specific industry study Prepare Credit Opinion reports wherever required. Participation in the Business Continuity Planning Testing Process Team Leader Responsible for development of the team: Completion of development plans Training of team members within budget Ensuring completion of mandatory training/e-learnings Succession planning Working closely with the Relationship Managers/Global Account Managers (RMs/GAMs) to ensure credit analyst (CA) has client interfacing/talent development opportunities. Being a mentor to CA team members Responsible for hiring process for any open head-count positions within the CA team Conducting performance reviews, working closely with GAMs to get 360 degree reviews Approval of expenses within budget and as per related policies Monitoring compliance of CA team members in meeting their job objectives Organizing and leading CA team meetings Work in partnership with other functions to ensure the smooth transition of activities/processes Streamline processes/procedures across CAs Understanding new policies and ensuring dissemination of information to CA team members - if required, explaining the implications and outlining procedures to ensure compliance.
