Electrical Installer
Details: VSC Fire & Security, a leading fire protection and life safety system contractor, is seeking qualified candidates for an Electrical Installer for our Richmond Low Voltage district office. Candidates who are interested in learning commercial and industrial electrical fire and safety systems should also apply. This position will be responsible for the installation of raceways, wiring and equipment as it relates to commercial and industrial fire pumps and controls, fire alarms, security, closed circuit cameras, access control and other life safety systems, to include wiring of circuits and systems from 12vdc to 480vac. Prior electrical installation experience is required. Experience with motor controls or other type control circuitry and schematics is desired. The position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience installing code compliant electrical raceways and wiring. Electrical Journeyman or Masters Card is desired. Must be proficient with the tools of the trade, and have a strong working knowledge of Industrial and Commercial installation methods. Must be able to read and comprehend drawings and schematics, as well as follow written and verbal instruction with minimal supervision. Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to accurately complete written daily job reports and field as-built drawings is required. Outstanding communication skills with the ability to represent the company in a professional manner when interacting with both coworkers and external customers are essential. Must possess a professional forward thinking attitude and eagerness to learn and grow.
