PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES  
Work with engineering staff to continuously improve production methods and products  
Drive constant improvement in mechanical design eg thermal performance noise reduction packaging cost reduction design for ease of production and serviceability  
Prepare product specifications and work with suppliers to ensure complex assemblies are properly made  
Work successfully with purchasing to ensure that parts are received and utilized properly  
Work with shipping to prepare units for domestic and international shipping  
Work effectively to leverage USTs engineering production resources to build and ship the best set of products possible  
Create drawings to be utilized by UST staff suppliers and customers  Interface with Sales and Marketing staff to provide end-users with preliminary specifications for new proposals and projects  
DESIRED CANDIDATE CAPABILITIES  
Four-year degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent on the job experience  
Demonstrated experience with 3D mechanical component design  
Solid Works preferred  Experience with power and hand tools  
Able to create electrical and mechanical drawings using Solid Works  Strong communication and time management skills  
Must be entrepreneurial and able to succeed in thinking and working independently  Be comfortable working in a production shop environment  
Proficient in the use of a PC with windows office software  
Basic understanding of finite element analysis

8.  Developing and maintaining PFLOW, PFMEA and control plans.
