SUMMARY

Performs a variety of administrative and project management services to support the basic Human Resources functions at the facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This list is subject to individual facility policies, procedures and practices, which may require additional duties and responsibilities.

Performs routine clerical tasks such as data collection, data entry, filing, copying, sorting, etc.
Maintains employee related information in company payroll system.
Assists with development or revision of human resources policies, procedures, forms and prepares documents for review and implementation.
Provides employees with new hire paperwork; reviews content of new hire paperwork for accuracy, and maintains employee files in accordance with state/federal regulations.
Completes and maintains files for new hire reports and -I9 forms. Submits new hire reporting documentation.
Assists with applicant selection process by performing tasks including but not limited to scheduling interviews, verifying employment history, contacting references, background checks and drug screening.
Acts as liaison for employee insurance enrollments, changes and/or terminations to the appropriate department and/or agency.
Assists with open enrollment preparation and process.
Provides assistance to employees and management with human resource related questions. Follows up to ensure all questions are answered and responses are understood.
Provides employees with Family Medical Leave (FMLA) documentation and assists with tracking FMLA by employee.
Assists with development and implementation of safety program and assists with workers' compensation claims management. Ensures training completed for all new hires.
Completes and/or assists department with special project assignments.
Assists with new hire orientation classes.
Ensures compliance with Affirmative Action in accordance with company, state and federal regulations.
Records, processes and maintains employee records related to safety per OSHA and risk management guidelines.
Ensures all required legal postings are placed in facility per all state/federal regulatory requirements.
Participates in and/or facilitates the Recruitment/Retention committee meetings. Records minutes as required by Company policy.
Facilitates open door policy, directing employees to the Administrator, Director of Nursing and/or Regional Manager/Director of Human Resources.
Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Human Resources Coordinator
ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS

College degree or equivalent work experience.
Experience in general HR payroll processing preferred.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees and management and to work well with all employees and management.
Project management skills and organization.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficient in Microsoft products, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENT:

Working in normal office environment, employee may be required to sit, bend, stoop, use keyboard, see, talk and hear. May occasionally lift medium to heavy objects up to 50 lbs. Employee is occasionally exposed to blood or other bodily fluids, fumes, or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
