Job Description: This position is responsible for all aspects of school administration including regulatory compliance academic programming personnel management educational operations and organizational development. This position reports directly to the School Board Major Duties Directs all academic program planning development and operations of school including development and selection of curriculum. Directs recruitment hiring and management of all staff both academic and support staff Ensures adequate staffing and supervision of all personnel including proper assignment of duties and staff development to accomplish school objectives. Encourage all employees as they pursue growth in their Christian faith. Conduct regular staff evaluations. Actively direct and participate in the recruitment and enrollment of students. Ensures proper school accreditation. Ensures compliance with Federal state and local statutes and regulations including teacher certification student graduation requirements and program requirements. Directs school operations. Ensures student and faculty activities are consistent with the schools mission values and objectives. Ensures that communication with all school constituencies is adequate Oversees student development and discipline. Coordinates development of the annual school calendar in addition to all annual publications example school handbook and report. Assists in drafting school board policy and ensures its implementation. Participates in long range planning and school development activities. Recommends priorities develops annual work plans executes assignments recommends appropriate techniques and methodology and suggests operational approaches to the board and staff. Works with Board to ensure that school facilities services and resources are adequate. Supervises the Business Administrator Ensures proper execution of the budget as directed by the Board Directs the Before and After Care programs. Maintains alumni relations through regular contacts. Fulfills other duties as assigned by the Board Be Hosannas biggest fan and cheerleader by continuing to support a school-wide culture that will make all constituents buy into the mission vision and core values of the school Advocate for the school within the community. Provide leadership for all areas of the school including spiritual academic relational programs effective resource development etc Respond to school challenges and adversity with faith. Encourage and counsel employees and families to help them make godly decisions that are consistent with scripture. Qualifications Spiritual Has strong faith and relationship with Jesus Christ. An active participant in a local evangelical church. Agrees with Hosannas Statement of Faith and philosophy of Christian education. Education Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree in Elementary Secondary or Special Education or School Administration Certificate. Five years experience in educational setting as teacher or administrator including at least two years of supervisory or administrative experience. Preferred Qualifications Masters degree in Elementary Secondary or Special Education or School Administration Basic or standard Administrative License Board recognized course work in. Christian Education and Philosophy Prior experience with the accreditation process Prior experience acquiring grants. Skills and Abilities Ability to communicate orally and in writing with teachers students and parents Organizational and leadership skills. Experience in administrative and educational positions. Experience in use of standard business practices and procedures. Ability to make difficult decisions using good judgment. Ability to coordinate activity to implement decisions and accomplish goals. Supervisory Controls Reports directly to the School Board under Board Policy. Is responsible for implementing Board policies and general directives. Work reviewed initially at three and six month intervals with an annual review to follow thereafter. Board will work directly with the Head Administrator to assist in goal setting and direction if needed.
