Sr. Traffic Engineers (2 Positions)
needed w/ Master's deg or Foreign Equivalent in Civil Engg & I yr exp as Sr. Traffic Engineer or Traffic Engineer performing following job duties: Perform Traffic engg dsgn & analysis, incl impact studies, corridor studies & ITS dsqn. Dsgn Traffic Signal Phase timings & Re-timing. Coord, optimize & measure effectiveness in o traffic corridor to achieve maximum throughout, minimum delay & reqd safety for both vehicles & pedestrians. Model & simulate transportation problems using computer models investigating the cause & recommend solutions. Forecast impact of new developments & look to schemes & strategies to manage traffic flow patterns. Perform Operational analysis of design alternatives, surface street, bridges & tunnels. Design advanced traffic mgmt systems that incl Intelligent Transportation Systems & Integrated corridor mgmt. Perform Traffic modeling s/ware using Synchro Aimsun, Vissim & Tru Traffic. Perform data collection, data analysis, data interpretation traffic modeling & conduct surveys & inspections. Use GIS models & Python scripting to effectively analyze & internet big data. Collecting & extraction data Using GPS location enabled Video Cameras, Miovision Cameras, GPS trackers, NY DOT Traffic Information Mgmt Systems, TransCom Data Fusion, Data Exchange Tools & MTA NYC.
