Deputy Sheriff
Clay County Sheriff's Office
Applicants must have graduated high school or a GED equivalent and also must have a valid driver's license.
The Clay County Sheriff's Office offers excellent benefits and IPERs retirement. Lateral Iowa transfers are accepted and starting pay for a certified Peace Officer is $64,289. Starting pay for a non-certified hire is $60,000.
Civil Service and physical testing is required for non-certified applicants. Lateral transfers are required to do physical testing only.
