The Delaware Healthcare Association (DHA) is engaged in health care public policy development, management, and advocacy at the state and federal level for hospitals and other member organizations. Position responsibilities include: Operationalizing our strategic communications plan; review and analysis of regulations, legislation and health policy issues; project management; liaison to external and internal workgroups; advocacy with elected officials and regulators.
The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a high degree of organization and initiative and the ability to work collegiality with association members and staff. Demonstrated communications experience including social media expertise is required. Demonstrated experience with project management is required. The position includes interaction with the Board of Directors and member senior management.
Qualifications include:
MINIMUM:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 3 years working in health care at either a provider, insurer or government agency.
• Experience with written communications.
• Expertise with social media communications in a business environment.
• Knowledge of health care public policy issues and regulatory environment.
PREFERRED:
• Graduate, Advanced Degree, or law degree.
• Project management in a health care or health regulatory environment.
• Social media advocacy and communications toward objective achievement.
• Knowledge of health regulatory and policy environment and hospital issues specific to the State of Delaware
