Job Description: |
Sr. Process Improvement Engineer.
Responsible for the following: development & implementation
of strategic initiatives & action steps aimed toward improvements in standardization & operational efficiency & effectiveness; designing operational models & business processes to support new capabilities as well as analyzing existing processes to identify & implement operational improvements; analyzing current business processes to optimize & validate quality, efficiency & effectiveness; advising executive leaders on the scope, evolution & progress of improvement activities; close collaboration with the Operations, IT & other department heads to achieve desired business outcomes. Areas of responsibility include Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, Operations strategic project leadership & technical training. Duties also include: Research & analyze existing processes/ systems & identify ways to improve the functional area’s performance to meet business objectives; Make recommendations surrounding improving processes, efficiency & practices; document & support recommendations for effective improvements; test process improvements, identify & document risks & operational readiness; develop & lead projects to improve processes & systems; manage the scope of those projects including timelines & budget, & assigns responsibility to business partners; develop end-to-end processes that result in best practice for capacity, cost, revenue & customer satisfaction; assist in the development & delivery of training to impacted functional departments; implement new equipment with respect to performance, product impact & to optimize processing; contribute to development of best practice methodologies for analyzing effectiveness of key processes; analyze business systems through performance metrics & assess business risk to support identification of process improvement initiatives; ensure clear ownership & governance to support change management of operational processes; establish key quality metrics & lead operational department heads in adoption & maintenance of performance measurement program.
Requires: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering and 5 years of work experience to include experience with: leading business process transformation including operation adoption and benefits realization practices; delivering functional specifications, operational policies processes, implementation plans and training materials, Consultation on Process Improvement/Development, Process Engineering, Project Management, Standardization, or related field.
Travel required 5% of the time.
