The World of Home Employment: Do Real Work from Home

Although there are plenty of ways to start a home business, get involved in a marketing scheme, and attempt to make money from home doing nothing, some people are simple, and just want to do real work from home. If you are one of those people, I have news for you. There are thousands of jobs out there where you can actually do real work from home and get a paycheck for it.

Some people are writers, bloggers, or editors, while others are IT specialists, programmers, and web designers. However, not every work at home position is computer or internet related. You can work from home as a travel agent, a private practice therapist, lawyer, or even a transcriptionist or telemarketer. Ultimately, if you can do the job in an office out of the home, you can do the job from home, as well. Once people figure out that the scams aren't real, the marketing schemes are a crock, and that making millions from home doing nothing is a flat out lie, they tend to get frustrated and think they have no options.

There are still thousands of options for working from home, but you just have to do actual work. I know, it's a crazy concept. Actually having to work to get paid; what kind of world do we live in, right? Wink Well, truth be told, you can give those "millions doing nothing" gigs a try, but when they don't work out, rest assured that there are plenty of companies looking for people just like you to do real work from home and get a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly paycheck for it.

Do a search engine search for "_____ work at home" or "_____ telecommuting" or "______ freelance jobs" (insert your desired field in the blank), and you'll find plenty of legitimate sites as long as you're willing to sort through the junk ones. Here's a hint. If the page starts with "sign up today!", move on. To do real work from home, you need to find real job listings. Check out Craig's List, CareerBuilder, and Monster to see what they have in the market of telecommuting jobs. If you're looking for writing, editing, programming, IT, or virtual assistant jobs, check out GetAFreelancer.com. They've got tons of listings for work at home jobs. (CAUTION: Many jobs on this last site pay obscenely low, but it's a good place to get started)

As long as you're willing to invest the time to sort through the crap to get to the good stuff, you can find plenty of ways to do real work from home online. Good luck, and happy job hunting!
