Can Anyone Work at Home?

Can anyone work at home?

Yes.

And no.

Anyone IS capable of finding work from home jobs and applying for them. Anyone is capable of finding business opportunities and attempting to start their own business. But not everyone will succeed at this feat.

Everyone has seen the infomercials, the e-mails, and the websites that offer opportunities for "anyone to work at home and make millions, doing little to no work in your free time"...

Welcome to pyramid schemes, marketing scams, and business startups that aren't really as easy as they sound. Okay, so you might be able to start a business and make decent money, but it certainly won't be millions from the get-go, and it won't be easy. Work is supposed to be hard. Hence the name. So the assumption that asks can anyone work at home is dependent upon many criteria. Anyone is capable of trying it; not all will succeed in their efforts.

You need to be dedicated, driven, motivated, and willing to work your butt off just like you would be with any other job. If you've got these traits, you should be fairly successful in your work at home search. However, if you're looking for the easy way out, working at home isn't it. Often, home-based employees and business owners will spend more time working than those in traditional jobs. And the position requires the ability to be organzied, follow a schedule, and provide your own structure.

There are many different careers available for those interested in working at home. From writing to medical billing to virtual assistants and travel agents, work from home positions are seemingly limitless. As long as you've got the training and/or education, you should have little trouble finding that perfect position, even with the state of the economy. But first, you must determine that you are capable of handling the pressure of essentially being your own boss.

So, to answer your question... Can anyone work at home?

Yes. But should everyone? No.
