Just about everyone has gotten an e-mail in their spam folder that offers legitimate work from home doing reviews for various websites and companies. Now, most of these ads are in fact legitimate; however, the money you will make is more of an extra income than a full time position. You still need to be cautious with these sites, so here are some tips when it comes to work at home review sites.
First, you should NEVER have to pay to sign up with a legitimate company. It doesn't matter if it is a review site, a mystery shopping company, or a survey site. Membership should always be free if it's a legitimate company looking for people to do market research. Work at home review sites are easy to set up, and many people often use affilliate marketing tools to create their own, where you can get "x" amount of money for completing a survey, but you've got to complete "these offers" first.
Those are junk, and usually not worth what it costs you to complete the offers. For example, some sites offer $25 for a Blockbuster survey. However, you have to sign up for their internet movie delivery service, be a member for 30 days (free), and then you'll get your money. What if you forget to cancel? What if you are charged extra fees for something that isn't your fault? And mostly, what if you don't do it EXACTLY right, then you don't get your money. It's too much work, really.
Work at home review sites are a great place to find residual income, but only at the legitimate ones. Some places set up these sites that don't actually pay you, or don't pay enough, and the different things you have to do to make money are ridiculous. It's up to you, but I personally suggest sticking with the ones that get right to the point. You complete the survey or website review, and you get paid. No strings, no loopholes, no bull.
Before my writing business took off, I spent months wading through all of these different survey sites and work at home review sites, only to waste a lot of my time and effort for nothing. I did find a couple of good places, so they are out there. You just have to be careful when you're choosing which ones are the best. You can even find some places that will offer you a list of the best companies and websites to work with, which is very useful.
And as with any work at home business or company, if it sounds to good to be true, it is.
