The work from home field is growing exponentially day by day. There are jobs available for all types of people who want to work at home and maintain a steady income. Working at home isn't just for the privileged few, anymore. Just about anyone can work from home, from writers to accountants, salespeople and more. Secretarial work from home is just one of many home based positions available in today's e-commerce society.
As with other professions, people hire work at home secretaries and assistants for two reasons: to cut down overhead by not hiring an in-house employeee, and because more people are likely to be interested in a position that allows them to work from the comfort of their home office. Secretarial work from home is relatively simple to transition to, so it makes a good candidate for a home based job.
Secretaries are responsible for taking phone calls, making calls, sending and recieving messages, and setting appointments, among other tasks. While home based secretaries won't be able to run as much direct interference with your clients and colleagues, they can still perform the basic functions of the job. If you're too busy with your latest sales pitch or business matters, you can hire someone to do secretarial work from home, and they can be responsible for making calls and setting appointments, just as if they were there in your office.
As always, I'm going to tell you that working from home isn't right for everyone, and everyone has their own reasons for doing it. No matter what you decide, or what your reasons are, if you want to do secretarial work from home, you can give it a shot. Look to online job boards and postings to find available positions; you can even apply for in-house positions and discuss the possibility of working from home. No matter what you decide, make sure it's the right decision, and don't rush into anything.
