Work from Home with an MLM Business

Most people consider work from home MLM business opportunities to be schemes or scams rather than legitimate jobs. These opportunities, however, do provide an income for those who are good at recruiting others and aren't worried about actually selling something.

Wait a second... MLM-- what is it?

MLM is simply multi-level marketing. This is where you are hired by a company to hire other people. Very few companies actually have a product they're selling or the "system" that they offer their applicants. You might see an ad that reads like this:

"Company seeks outgoing sales representatives for marketing position. Earn money for each referral you make to our outstanding company, by selling our proven system to others"

While these positions are great for some, if you're not interested, I understand why. A work from home MLM business isn't exactly a sales position. You will never sell anything, other than the company's name, and you will never talk to consumers; just persons interested in the job. Also, it can get tricky when it comes to the "multi-level" part of the job. This means that you get X amount of money for recruiting someone. Then, when they recruit people, you get X amount of money, which is usually 10 or 20 percent. And if you hire someone who hires someone who hires someone, (WHAT?!?! I know. it's complicated) you get a cut of their money.

Some people enjoy these positions where you can make residual income off of others' work after you've done your part. However, work from home MLM business opportunities are confusing, and not for everyone.

Whatever you decide, please do yourself a favor and fully research the position first, before you dive in and get in over your head. But then that goes for every position, not just work from home MLM business opportunities.
