Genealogy as a Work from Home Data Entry Job
If you are interested in genealogical work then this might be the perfect work from home data entry niche for you. There are literally tens if not hundreds of thousands of people who are interested in having their family genealogy done. This is a trend that really started to catch on 30-40 years ago and has been growing ever since. A major problem with genealogical work is that it is so time intensive. Many times you have to order specific records from certain areas and time periods. This can be time consuming and then of course you must wait for the materials to arrive and then make use of them in the time allotted to have them out. The problem a large number of the people interested in learning about their genealogy have is that they simply do not have enough time to devote to it. Thus providing a perfect niche in the work from home data entry market for someone who is interested in doing this type of work themselves.
An ad in the local yellow pages or a posting on the internet to let people know you are interested will go a long way toward getting your work from home data entry business going. You might even be able to gain permission from some LDS bishops to post information cards on the Ward bulletin board letting members of the local congregation know of your devotion to tracing people’s family lines. Those with an extreme interest would likely be tremendously happy to know that your service is available. It could be doubly rewarding if you are already doing your own genealogy work. If that is the case you could devote a certain amount of time per week or month to working your own lines; and while you are at it allot so much time for your work from home data entry business.
If you happen to be lucky enough to live in the proximity of a genealogical library service building belonging to “The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints” also known as "The Mormons", then the resources you need will be right at your finger tips. If not they can be ordered and arrive in short order. The Mormons have compiled by far the largest genealogical data base in the world. The only other data base that even comes near it is in Russia. That one is somewhat harder to access though. This resource is especially difficult to use if you don’t know Russian. Of course there are also other research data bases out there. More and more of them now becoming available online.
