Pages that don't make affiliate sales

I know that what I'm going to say might sound pretty obvious but by looking at a lot of our affiliate sites, it looks like there is still a need to say this:

Pages with no traffic don't make sales

Despite what I've been repeating here or in the newsletter, I still run into sites that place our banners on pages hidden in their navigation and wonder why they don't make any sales.

  • Since affiliate sign with us to either provide a service to their visitors or to earn revenues, they need to place affiliate links where they can be seen by their visitors.
  • I also sometime hear some affiliates saying that they don't think banners or links would look good on their sites or home pages. The truth is sites must be user-friendly in the first-place and since our industry isn't about making art but rather about helping people get jobs, this concern isn't relevant. In addition, even if your site has some great design, we can customize our banners and links to your look and feel, if you wish.
Just like with brick-and-mortar businesses, without efforts you won't get results on the Internet and really, placing a banner in a visible isn't a lot of efforts to make some sales.
