Sites earning affiliate commissions Winners and losers

While I’m aware I’ve already been mentioning this here, I am still quite amazed by the number of new affiliates who think they’re going to make money with the wrong type of sites. So here are a few facts:

Top-earning sites

Earning around 70% of all commissions paid, the top-earning category of affiliates is content sites, which are informational websites with useful resources and articles – and I mean valid and original articles, not phony keyword-rich blurbs filled with affiliate links and sandwiched between a bunch of AdSense units.

While a high proportion of these sites are obviously employment-focused, there are also a lot of niche sites – mostly industry-related and local – that earn commissions on a regular basis, by offering employment sections featuring our services.

Lowest-earning sites

Earning lower than 0.5% of all commissions paid – and I know it’s going to disappoint thousand’s of you out there – the lowest earning affiliates are blogs and free sites. Why? Because online surfers have now learned how to recognize get-rich scheme sites, which look unprofessional, fake & untrustworthy.
