Since Google’s latest update, there seems to have been a lot of turmoil in the online world. As a result, some webmasters have started systematically taking down any outbound link, including affiliate links.
I just wanted to clarify that 1) this update was targeting excessive un-related linking and link farms, not affiliate links. 2) In addition, sites that got affected were penalized for inbound links, rather than for outbound links.
