Mini-Malls, Mini Sites, Mini Revenues

I know there are a lot of websites and seminars out there, where they promise you that you will earn easy revenues if you set-up a mini-mall – usually for a fee.

Unfortunately, the truth is that these turnkey sites don’t work. We probably have at least a hundred of them as affiliates and none of them ever made a sale because they don’t get any traffic. The issues are:
1. Since they’re all clone sites, they appear as mirror pages to search engines and don’t get picked up in organic search results.
2. Even if you run a PPC campaign, you won’t get a good ROI as online surfers mostly buy from sites that have some kind of brand recognition.

So creating a mini-mall with the only purpose to make sales is a waste of time.

What might work however is to create a real content site about a specific subject — something you like and know well — and add a store area that will feature affiliate links that are related to the subject of your site.
