Links to home pages vs links to product pages

Contrary to a general belief, it is more effective to have affiliate links pointing to the actual pages featuring the products — or services — you want to sell, rather than to a home page. Because online surfers don’t like to click around looking for something, conversion rates are by far lower when visitors are referred to a home page.

In today’s competitive e-commerce world, landing pages have become strategic as to convert clicks into sales. Since affiliate programs are about making sales, rather than doing branding for your partner, affiliates should use links and banners that promote specific products and are redirected to their respective landing pages.

If you are familiar with our “build a link” section, you will notice that, here at Employment911, we offer a wide variety of text links for our Resume services because we know that these are our Resume landing pages that generate sales, not our home page.
