Executive Director
Citizens Union Foundation
Citizens Union of the City of New York
Citizens Union Foundation, a research and educational foundation founded in 1948, and Citizens Union, a good government advocacy organization founded in 1897, seek a new Executive Director. The Executive Director will report directly to the joint Boards and will be generally responsible for forming and implementing policy relative to "the honest and efficient government of the City of New York;" raising funds; hiring and supervising staff and interns; maintaining records of governance and finance; and representing both organizations to outside constituencies. More specific duties include oversight of Foundation publications and its award-winning website, GothamGazette.com; coordination of research projects; testifying before public bodies regarding legislation; interfacing with the press; and supervision of non-partisan directories for primary and general elections of New York.
