Major Responsibilities: Oversee graphic design staff for the Advertising and Brand Marketing Organization. Staff to include: traffic coordinator and three designers. The role is that of working team leader who will have personal accountability for project completion in addition to leadership responsibilities. Requirements: An undergraduate degree in Graphic Design or Visual Communications required. 7+ years experience in graphic design plus 3-5 years leadership experience managing small to medium size teams. Experience managing complex, broad ranging size of projects working with sophisticated technology. Demonstrated progressive design complexity experience as demonstrated by portfolio documentation. Incumbents must be proficient in Graphic Design basic concepts resulting in graphically appealing and clear communications (i.e. connection to brand message, typeface legibility, color contrast/feasibility and photography). Familiarity with modern graphic design technology for presentations, audiovisual and printed material. The team lead will be required to have working knowledge of the following computer graphics applications (QuarkXpress, Flash, PhotoShop, Ilustrator, Macromedia Director). Additional requirements include experience in people management (coaching/development). The incumbent will be required to plan, organize and coordinate work processes and or project assignments. Should also have demonstrated abilities in effective listening and brainstorming facilitation experience. |
