| Job Description: | |
The oilfield chemist will be responsible for handling technical support activities required by the Oilfield Chemicals business in the US. These responsibilities include conducting and managing R&D and process improvement projects and leading technology transfers of new products into pilot and production facilities. Some hands-on chemical synthesis work will required. The person will also provide customer technical support and serve as the US group’s technical liaison to global colleagues. Frequent interaction with marketing, sales, technical, and production-related colleagues will be necessary. The position may require 10-20% travel. Position Requirements: Minimum BS in Chemistry with at least 3 years of experience in the oilfield chemicals industry. Experience with product R&D and technology transfer. Demonstrated hands-on chemical synthesis and analysis skills and knowledge. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong self-motivated work ethic are essential. Experience working directly with customers and an understanding of polymerization processes are strongly desired. |
