Administrative jobs and the like are all jobs that require a lot of responsibility. The people who are competing for these types of jobs must put in secretary resumes that will sell them convincingly. Whatever type of administrative resume you are putting in though will not get read if you do not follow a few simple guidelines. Getting your clerical resume, executive assistant resume, or receptionist resume read is a large part of the battle concerning getting an interview and ultimately landing a job. So in order to increase your chance of success include these aspects to ensure your resume gets looked at.
Using bullet points
Chances are you're already going to use bullet points in order to convey the skills you have when applying for administrative jobs. But you can also follow this type of structure when you are writing paragraphs. Many times people get into the habit of writing paragraphs that can seem rather monotonous, and it's going to bore the interviewer. In order to keep away monotony breaking up the paragraphs with bullet points makes it easier to read. The more of your resume gets read the more likely it is you will get an interview.
Simple bullet points
Even though you may be tempted to use bullet points that include anything but a standard type, I would strongly advise against this. Whenever you're putting in a clerical resume, receptionists resume, or secretary resume you must still maintain a high degree of professionalism. Your bullet points should be standard and it should not include images or silly designs. All of this is going to take away from your professionalism and is going to severely impact whether or not you get taken seriously or not.
